MANGKUNEGARAN LEGION’S STEEL HELMET ATTRACT MGtC 3 UNS SOLO VISITOR
The 3rd Museum Goes to Campus UNS solo event display 38 booth which bring objects of their museum collections that are quite interesting, many collections are rare objects, even some of them are replicas.
Unlike the d’Topeng Kingdom Foundation', which manages 4 museums in Indonesia, They carries an original artifact of their museum.
"We did bring our original collections, because we wanted to show visitors how rich our country in the past ," said Wisnu, one of the foundations staff at the exhibition. "All the objects that we carry are not only original collections of our museums, but some of the best." Wisnu continued.
Wisnu gave an example of a PANJI story book that was suspected to be one of the legacies of Sunan Kalijaga. "w’re not able to bring the original one because of the physical fragility of the collection, we make photos of this collection, not a replica, for example about the collection," added Wisnu.
Remarks: because of its fragility, this Panji sunan kalijaga legacy book is only a documentary photo.
Another collection that attracts many visitors is the collection of History of Java Museum Yogyakarta which is also managed by the foundation, a Mangkunegaran legion Steel Helmet.
"This Helmet was once by the Mangkunegaran Legion Cavalry troops in the glorious period," Wisnu explained further. "At the History of Java Museum, we have a pavilion that holds relics from 4 palaces in Java, Yogyakarta Palace, Solo Palace, Pakualaman and Mangkunegaran," he added.
In addition to focusing on interesting collections, the History of Java Museum itself is equipped with Information Technology as a visitor service, especially young people who are very fond of using gadgets.

The History of Java Museum also complements its facilities with the Theater room, Diorama Room, meeting room, food festival and Cultural stage.
"So that visitors will able to feel comfortable and enjoy visiting our museum, the education that we want to do can be faster by using a more modern approach." Obviously Wishnu.
Hmmmm, so can't wait to be able to visit Jogja ..., prepare the agenda for Jogja from now on!
